Paleomaniac : Fossils and Palaeontology from Belgium
Hello everyone,
As you can see, my blog is almost completely dedicated to my devouring passion of fossils.
Since more than 33 years now, I search for remains of vanished worlds, traces of extinct lives, several millions of years old !
I travel a lot, visiting European locations where I hunt myself, plus commercial Fossil and Mineral shows where I can buy nice pieces, and also other “exchange” shows where I can trade pieces in excess with other fossil amateurs without intervening money.
Fossil exchanges by mail are also regularly done, but size and weight of sent specimens are quite limited in that case. Check "Catégorie" (Category) "Liste d'échanges". (List of specimens to trade)
My main specializations are Shark teeth, Sea-Urchins, Trigonid pelecypods, but for educational purposes I collect specimens from all classes of fossils, and from every epoch and most locations.
Thru lectures, guiding of amateur associations, writing of books (not frequently, due to necessary work), temporary exhibitions, papers in reviews or club magazines, and now web sites and blogs, I try to introduce this very interesting science to all people.
Now I am starting an english section in my blog, so feel free to contact me for informations, fossil trips in Belgium or Europe, exchange fossils, present-day shells and minerals…
You can find my mail address and mobile phone number at the left side of this blog. (Section "Un peu de pub...")
English translation of my main French papers will be issued soon, just stay tuned…
And do not hesitate to leave a comment ! Thanks.
Yours sincerely.
